Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non-US equivalent directly related to the work statement
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Previous experience in systems engineering, including domains such as Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements, or Testing.
- Familiarity with the missile-defense mission context, particularly in command & control, battle management, and communications (preferred).
- Experience in requirements analysis & verification (preferred).
- Background in requirements and architecture development for complex systems (preferred).
- Proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo or DOORS (preferred).
- Experience supporting architecture or requirements trade studies (preferred).
- Background in integration and verification processes, including documenting test events (preferred).
- Knowledge of scripting or programming for test/tool support (Python, MATLAB, Java, or similar) (preferred).
- Proven ability to communicate technical results effectively to diverse stakeholders (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to mission assessment, architecture, requirements development, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), integration, and testing.
- Assist in defining and evolving the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and C2BMC system architecture.
- Develop and update requirements and architectural artifacts to support missile defense capabilities.
- Conduct architecture and requirements trade studies to enhance mission performance, cost-effectiveness, and technical feasibility.
- Manage the requirements processes and tools, ensuring quality, traceability, and change control.
- Track program-level risks, issues, and opportunities related to architecture and requirements decisions.
- Collaborate regularly with MDA, warfighters, and industry partners to align system priorities and requirements.
- Plan and manage integration and checkout tasks, ensuring they are scheduled, assigned, and monitored effectively.
- Evaluate integration and checkout results to confirm alignment with specified requirements.
- Define and implement the integration and testing strategy, including processes, tools, and metrics to ensure effective requirement verification.
- Execute and document integration and testing events while capturing necessary results and issues.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify and resolve complex system challenges.
- Seek and apply tool/process improvements to increase efficiency in workflows.
- Evaluate system performance using realistic scenarios and architectures, offering insights to MDA and warfighters.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools that predict performance against evolving threats.
- Conduct system and performance trade studies to inform strategic technical decisions.
- Refine modeling techniques to ensure credible and actionable results.
