Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Over 2 years of programming experience in C++ or Java
- More than 2 years of experience in agile software development and teams
- At least 2 years of familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security clearance (Post-Start) and access to Special Access Programs
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics, chemistry, or physics is preferred
- Active Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is desirable
- Experience with aerospace systems at the system level is advantageous
- Background in embedded systems is a plus
- Proficient with software development tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, and CMake
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows development environments
- Familiarity with networking protocols such as Link 16 or MADL
- Understanding of OMS/UCI systems architecture and messaging.
- Experience with modeling tools like Cameo is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software across its entire lifecycle to comply with industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
- Analyze and interpret customer requirements to produce the initial software design.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for system integrations.
- Document and maintain software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Address user inquiries, provide troubleshooting assistance, and analyze user feedback.
- Integrate current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.
- Create, monitor, and enhance software processes, tools, and performance metrics to align with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Execute and document software research and development projects.
- Provide advice on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
- Manage software projects and supplier relationships effectively.
- Monitor and assess the performance of software teams and suppliers to ensure compliance with project plans and standards.
