Requirements

Must:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing software certified under DO-178 - At least 3 years of professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada - A minimum of 3 years of experience with SAE Standard ARP4754A and RTCA DO-178 or DO-254 - At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development - A minimum of 3 years of experience working with software development lifecycles

Responsibilities

- Create and review software lifecycle documentation in compliance with DO-178B/C and tool qualification under DO-330 - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, suppliers, hardware, quality, and certification authorities to ensure compliance and troubleshoot issues - Work alongside stakeholders and suppliers to translate system-level requirements into actionable software requirements and models that align with operational needs, performance standards, and traceability to design, code, and testing artifacts - Manage software project tasks and oversee software supplier functions - Serve as a subject matter expert in software domains, handling system-specific issues, processes, and regulatory requirements - Produce and review documentation for architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and software system designs - Write and review software verification plans, testing protocols, and test configurations, carrying out the test procedures and recording results to confirm software system compliance - Select, modify, implement, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics - Conduct and document software research and development initiatives - Monitor and assess the performance of software teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with project timelines and industry standards, operating under general supervision
