Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering, physical sciences, or computer science
- Level 3: Minimum of 5 years related work experience; or masters degree with 3 years of related experience; or equivalent technical education combination
- Level 4: Minimum of 9 years related work experience; or masters degree with 7 years of related experience; or equivalent technical education combination
- Experience with space-to-space and/or space-to-ground laser communication systems
- Proficiency in performance analysis and modeling of space-based laser systems, including rangefinders and LIDAR
- Ability to mentor and train team members
- Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance, requiring US citizenship
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate mission and unit-level requirements for spaceborne laser systems
- Design and perform modeling and simulation for laser systems
- Oversee ground and on-orbit testing to verify system performance
- Manage supplier and partner performance efficiently
- Coordinate complex projects by tracking budgets, schedules, and technical performance metrics
- Assist in developing large-scale business proposals
