Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology, or any related Human Engineering field.
- Experience levels: (Level 2 - Bachelors degree with 2+ years experience or Masters degree)
- (Level 3 - Bachelors degree with 5+ years experience or Masters with 3+ years)
- (Level 4 - Bachelors degree with 9+ years experience or Masters with 7+ years)
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Human Engineering.
- Associate Certification from the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics or related educational qualifications is preferred.
- Familiarity with digital human modeling tools or user interface software prototyping tools is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of workload, situational awareness, cognition, and human perception is desired.
- Experience in supporting defense-related programs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Human Engineering principles for the analysis, design, and evaluation of intricate systems.
- Establish system performance criteria to guarantee the safe operation of physical, functional, and program interfaces for all system operators.
- Implement human performance methodologies and technologies in the design of complex systems.
- Develop and execute research methodologies and analysis plans to test and assess developmental prototypes.
- Apply knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD-411F, MIL-STD-516) to fulfill program requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of Human Engineering factors into the overall system design and development process.
