Requirements

Must:
- Over 3 years of experience in fundamental Computer Science concepts and object-oriented design patterns - Over 3 years of experience with object-oriented programming in Java, C++, or Python on full stack software projects - Active Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and successful completion of CI Polygraph post start - Preferred: 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience - Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution - Preferred: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (REACT, Open Layers, etc.) - Preferred: Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies including daily standups, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning - Preferred: Understanding of test-driven development (TDD), agile practices, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management - Preferred: Experience utilizing CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI for automating builds, tests, and deployments - Preferred: Knowledge of middleware technologies like Java Message Service (JMS) and WebLogic - Preferred: Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases - Preferred: Skills in authoring and executing test cases for unit, integration, and system testing to ensure software meets specifications - Preferred: Background in systems engineering or software development for space-based or ground-based systems

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and sustain software for the entire product lifecycle to meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards - Create, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for system integrations - Regularly evaluate and maintain software libraries and COTS products to ensure compatibility, security, and performance - Engage in the agile software development cycle including planning sessions, reviews, and customer meetings - Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency - Conduct software development tasks, take part in code reviews, and follow software standards and design principles - Establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics aligned with company objectives and industry standards - Execute and document software R&D projects - Provide guidance on software domains, system-specific concerns, processes, and regulations
