Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications related to the work
- Relevant engineering experience gained through internships, co-ops, or academic projects
- Experience or interest in missile defense systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, including system architecture, requirements, and interfaces (preferred)
- Knowledge of integration, verification, and validation processes (preferred)
- Understanding of modeling and simulation (preferred)
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (preferred)
- Proficient with technical tools and programming languages such as DOORS, Cameo, SysML, Python, MATLAB, Java, or similar (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist in defining and developing the MDA/C2BMC system architecture
- Create and sustain requirements and architecture documents, including interface definitions, to support missile defense capabilities
- Aid in architecture and requirements trade studies to propose options that enhance mission performance, cost/schedule, and technical feasibility
- Support the improvement of the requirements management system: planning, organizing, executing, and monitoring processes and tools (including traceability and quality)
- Track program-level risks, issues, and opportunities related to architecture and requirements
- Collaborate regularly with MDA, warfighters, and industry partners to align requirements and priorities
- Define and manage integration and checkout tasks: establishing workflows, overseeing completion, and keeping the integration plan on track
- Evaluate and document outcomes from integration/checkout activities to ascertain compliance with requirements
- Help formulate and lead the overall integration and test strategy to ensure effective verification of requirements
- Document integration and test activities, capturing results and evidence needed for verification
- Work with integration/test subject matter experts to resolve complex system issues
- Identify and implement process and tool enhancements to reduce obstacles and boost efficiency
- Assess system performance across realistic scenarios to provide insights for MDA and warfighters
- Support the development and maintenance of analysis tools and simulation models to predict performance against evolving threats
- Conduct system and performance trade studies to inform technical decision-making
- Enhance modeling approaches to ensure credible and repeatable results for decision-making purposes
- Utilize modeling, simulation, and quantitative methods to provide technical guidance and recommendations in designated focus areas

We are looking for Entry-Level Systems Engineers to join our Huntsville, AL team. In this role, you will engage in essential activities at the intersection of mission outcomes, architecture, integration, and testing, contributing to Americas Missile Defense System. You will collaborate with various stakeholders from Boeing, industry partners, and government agencies in a dynamic environment.
