Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in embedded software development
- Level 2: At least 1 year of related work experience or a relevant combination of education and experience
- Level 3: A minimum of 3 years of related work experience or a relevant combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program
- Proficiency in developing software or simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, C++, or Python
- Experience in software development for real-time, near real-time, or embedded systems
- Familiarity with automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, and deployments using a DevOps toolchain
- Background in leading software development projects utilizing Agile methodologies
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software integrated into embedded devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Aid in reviewing, analyzing, and translating customer requirements into the software product design
- Support the coding and construction of embedded software to operate on specialized hardware
- Contribute to the integration of embedded software with hardware components
- Help analyze, monitor, and enhance the performance and stability of embedded software systems
- Participate in the testing and debugging processes for embedded devices and systems
- Facilitate the adoption of new technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes relevant to software development and hardware
- Help track and evaluate software team performance against project plans and industry standards
- Support project management functions for embedded software initiatives
