Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years leading software-related projects or technical teams
- At least 7 years of experience in embedded software architecture, development, or design
- 7 years of professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, documentation, and maintenance of software systems architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
- Contribute to the Communications roadmap and vision
- Implement containerized software architectures across various hardware
- Utilize open architecture standards like Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Open Communication Standard (OCS)
- Define requirements and service contracts for OMS subsystems and isolators
- Lead code development and integration of complex software components
- Supervise the creation of software verification plans, test procedures, and environments, ensuring compliance with requirements
- Provide technical leadership for software projects and manage supplier relationships
- Plan, execute, and document software R&D projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and interoperability certifications
- Monitor software team and supplier performance to align with project plans
- Mentor and train team members
- Work with minimal supervision
