Requirements
Must:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in software development
- Direct experience with Defense Community, Government Agencies, DoD personnel, suppliers, and prime contractors
- At least 5 years of budget management experience
- Minimum 5 years understanding of the entire SDLC process including methodologies like Agile and DevOps
- Knowledge of government regulations and compliance standards related to software and cybersecurity
- Proven communication skills with program leadership and development teams
- Over 5 years of strong business, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the technology vision and strategy for Tapestry, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and government expectations
- Foster innovation in software development practices, methodologies, and technologies to enhance product quality
- Lead technical requirements and resource allocation for capture activities, encompassing proposal development and solution design
- Supervise the design, implementation, and upkeep of the IT infrastructure to support software development and operational requirements
- Establish and uphold cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive data and comply with federal directives
- Mentor a team of software engineers and IT professionals, promoting collaboration, continuous learning, and performance excellence
- Engage with government and commercial clients to comprehend their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring effective resource allocation including vendor management
- Keep informed about industry trends and emerging technologies for opportunities in software and IT services
- Identify risks related to technology initiatives and devise mitigation strategies
- Oversee developmental opportunities for staff and mid-level managers
