Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science - Minimum of 5 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA design or verification - Experience in ASIC/FPGA architectural definition and functional verification using SystemVerilog - Professional background in hardware integration and testing of ASIC/FPGA designs - Proven experience in leading ASIC/FPGA design or verification teams and reporting progress - Preferred: 10 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience - Preferred: Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field - Preferred: Familiarity with hardware emulators, particularly Palladium - Proficiency in hardware verification languages like System Verilog and System Verilog Assertions - Ability to develop executable test plans and create reusable test benches - Experience with high-speed Serdes interfaces and scripting languages such as Make, Perl, or Python

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of FPGA/ASIC projects, coordinating with multi-program teams - Collaborate with customers and system engineers to capture requirements and architect digital logic functions - Explore and evaluate potential ASIC/FPGA technologies based on performance metrics and feasibility - Implement FPGA/ASIC designs utilizing up-to-date design practices and tools - Integrate DSP IP from internal and external sources as required - Conduct static timing analysis and various design checks to ensure timely completion - Develop Functional Coverage Models and conduct Code Coverage assessments - Create self-checking, reusable test benches using Object Oriented Programming concepts - Drive FPGA-based prototyping and validation aligned with program requirements - Validate designs through hardware integration tests with necessary testing equipment - Mentor and train junior engineers and assist in building strong project teams
