Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Associates degree plus 2 additional years of job-related experience for a total of 6 years of required work experience
- 8 total years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- 4 years of technical experience in systems analysis, design, and/or programming or related IT experience
- Strong understanding of data storage methods, database management, and programming techniques
- Familiarity with maintaining production systems and the implications of program modifications
- Knowledge of structured techniques for program development
- Proficient in development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive under pressure and collaborate effectively as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of pertinent operating systems, programming languages, and productivity tools
Responsibilities
- Provide system and production support for applications, monitoring batch cycles, releases, and installations
- Collaborate in work sessions focused on system support and issue resolution
- Assist in analyzing issues and taking corrective actions when applications fail, or notify technical support for solutions
- Communicate with on-call personnel to address application failures
- Consult with senior peers on more complex projects
- Monitor system performance in real-time and through reports, logging and resolving issues from previous processing cycles
- Verify that Production and Test environments are operational and effective
- Engage in testing tasks and review/create documentation for accuracy and standard compliance
- Participate in quality assurance and production implementation sessions, data conversion projects, and disaster recovery drills
- Seek opportunities for cycle and process improvement, potentially developing automation for release processes
- Provide input on application enhancement initiatives
