Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of QA experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on mobile QA (both manual and automated)
- Expertise in mobile test automation utilizing Appium, Detox, or similar platforms
- Comprehensive knowledge of mobile architectures, build processes, and debugging tools (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio, ADB)
- Experience in integrating automated mobile tests into CI/CD frameworks (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise)
- Practical experience testing on actual devices, emulators, and cloud device services (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab)
- Familiarity with mobile performance analysis tools such as Android Profiler, Xcode Instruments, or equivalent tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a thorough understanding of QA methodologies and testing strategies
- Exceptional communication abilities and adaptability to fast-paced, iterative environments; previous startup experience is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and uphold automated test suites for Android and iOS applications using contemporary automation frameworks like Appium or Detox
- Seamlessly integrate mobile test automation into CI/CD workflows and facilitate continuous delivery processes
- Execute both manual and automated tests, assessing UI/UX interactions, core functionalities, and mobile-specific behaviors, such as gestures, permissions, offline capability, and device state variations
- Conduct performance, load, and stability assessments to unearth issues related to memory consumption, rendering efficiency, battery performance, and network conditions
- Validate compatibility across a range of devices, operating systems, screen sizes, and hardware configurations
- Create and sustain thorough test plans, test scenarios, and QA documentation to aid in all releases
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product teams to ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to feature specifications
- Contribute to the enhancement of QA tools, automation frameworks, and testing strategies
