Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience in IT operations, cloud administration, or security from a help desk, MSP, SOC, internal IT, or a similar setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID.
- Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS), including IAM concepts, networking basics, and resource management.
- Practical experience with an identity provider such as Okta, Entra ID, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud.
- Familiarity with a SIEM or EDR platform like Sentinel, Google SecOps, Palo Alto Cortex, Splunk, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Defender, or similar.
- Exceptional written communication skills—ability to articulate technical issues to a CIO without excessive jargon.
- U.S.-based, capable of working standard business hours, with reliable home internet and workspace.
Responsibilities
- Administer identity platforms including Okta, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Google Workspace across client environments, managing user lifecycle, SSO/SAML/OIDC integrations, MFA enforcement, conditional access policies, and privileged access reviews.
- Operate SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and SentinelOne, tuning alerts, building queries, triaging events, and contributing to detection engineering.
- Configure and maintain security baselines for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, including Defender for M365, Safe Links/Attachments, DLP, and tenant hardening to CIS benchmarks.
- Assist in managing client Azure and AWS environments, focusing on IAM, security groups/NSGs, logging, and remediation of misconfigurations.
- Support incident response processes, participating in security event triage under senior engineers, documenting findings, and contributing to lessons-learned documents.
- Produce clear, concise documentation, tickets, and client summaries, ensuring high-quality written communication tailored to senior executive audiences.
- Engage with our internal AI tools to boost analysis, documentation, and detection efforts, and explore AI security topics like model risk and data sovereignty.
