Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent engineering experience.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in engineering.
- Active engineering registration or licensure to meet EOR requirements for projects.
- Experience using 3D structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA-3D, STAAD) for steel and concrete design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build solid client relationships and navigate business opportunities.
- Skills in conflict management, delegation, priority setting, and team building.
- Knowledge of advanced engineering design principles and applicable codes related to engineering discipline.
- Preferred: Experience with utility-scale electrical substation and transmission design, fast-paced EPC projects, and structural design of substation structures and foundations.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis for substation projects specifically for data center clients.
- Gather and compile engineering data, conduct research, and prepare calculations per company and industry standards.
- Make equipment and material recommendations while ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Support the engineering team with guidance and maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.
- Act as a technical specialist or lead, applying advanced engineering techniques with minimal supervision.
- Expand expertise in primary discipline and begin to explore other areas.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple projects and ensure compliance with quality programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams on moderately complex projects.
- Identify client interests and communicate these to the project team; support business development activities.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level engineering professionals and participate in team performance management tasks.
