Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience in the engineering field.
- Minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience.
- Active engineering registration or licensure to meet engineer of record (EOR) requirements for applicable projects.
- Strong understanding of design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes relevant to the industry.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulatory requirements for dams and hydropower clients is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is a plus.
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Business is desirable.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including background checks and drug screenings.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical design tasks and oversee small project teams.
- Lead projects focused on dams, levees, spillways, and other structural improvements.
- Deliver innovative, high-quality design outputs, manage equipment procurement, and engage in construction oversight with clients.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across multiple disciplines to produce high-quality design documentation (plans, specifications, analyses, etc.).
- Mentor and work collaboratively with professionals in our hydropower and dams teams.
- Communicate with clients to grasp their key interests and devise technical solutions for their infrastructure challenges.
- Convert client directives into efficient work plans, liaising with project team members to assure quality deliverables.
- Develop written technical documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and alternative analyses.
- Apply knowledge of general engineering principles to devise unique, engineered solutions, accounting for hydraulics and structural design considerations.
- Supervise the preparation of calculations and design documents.
- Participate in equipment procurement and oversee construction management processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and support business development initiatives by leading pursued projects.
