Requirements
Must:
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling).
- Experienced in applying architectural/engineering principles and established design practices.
- Ability to handle complex technical assignments and provide guidance to peers.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
Responsibilities
- Function as a senior architectural engineering technician, technical design specialist or supervisor.
- Address complex design challenges within the architectural discipline by applying advanced technical expertise.
- Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation and project deliverables using standardized procedures.
- Provide consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians ensuring quality standards.
- Communicate and establish appropriate design and graphic standards.
- review project requirements and determine the correct format for required deliverables.
- Promote quality within the project, group, and section.
- Ensure design inputs maintain consistency and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of guides and standards and engage in process improvement activities.
- Perform design calculations, material estimates, and oversee the deliverables of others.
- Monitor production for consistency, budget, and timeline adherence.
- Collaborate with other design personnel to exchange necessary project information.
- Present findings and conduct training sessions in specialized areas of expertise.
