Requirements
Must:
- Diploma or certificate in an engineering-related field preferred
- Associate degree in drafting or engineering design technology is advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and digital design tools (e.g., CAD, BIM)
- Familiarity with project deliverables, documentation, and standards
- Effective communication skills and ability to support and guide team members
- Capacity to manage complex design concepts and calculations
Responsibilities
- Perform duties as a project engineering technician
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create and modify technical deliverables
- Develop moderate complexity design concepts applying standard engineering principles
- Use digital tools to maintain and produce project documentation and drawings
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineering professionals
- Ensure project outputs meet quality and consistency standards
- Conduct reviews to confirm compliance with codes and regulations
- Implement BV Quality Program in deliverables and support continuous improvement
- Perform design calculations and estimates and review the work of others
- Coordinate with different design teams to exchange critical project information
- Stay informed on the latest technologies and processes relevant to the role
