Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Civil, Environmental, or Structural Engineering
- Previous internship experience
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Less than 2 years of professional engineering or construction experience (internships do not count toward years of experience)
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides, and standards
- Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Basic understanding of construction practices and principles
- Proficient in Problem Solving, Written Communication, Informing, and Peer Relationships
- Ability to travel intermittently to project sites
- Willingness to relocate for short-term and long-term assignments
Responsibilities
- Familiarize yourself with departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and company policies
- Comply with the companys quality program and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in preparing engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
- Conduct routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
- Collect, organize, and manage data relevant to engineering tasks
- Perform basic engineering calculations in accordance with standard methods
- Adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
- Share information with team members as needed
- Coordinate with colleagues as directed by supervisors or project leadership
- Understand and prioritize the needs of internal clients while gaining insights into external client interests
- Support business development or pursuit activities as required
- Share knowledge of the latest technology and processes with team members
