Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role centered on data security or Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
- Proven track record in the design and execution of data security programs.
- Practical experience with data discovery, classification, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and access governance tools.
- Certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CIPP, or similar privacy certifications is required.
Responsibilities
- Direct the ongoing identification and mapping of all data assets across various environments, including cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), databases, and on-premises systems.
- Employ available tools to discover data repositories and maintain a real-time inventory of sensitive information, ensuring comprehensive visibility.
- Partner with IT and business units to understand data movements and secure comprehensive insight into critical data locations.
- Sustain a strong Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) framework for the continuous assessment and enhancement of organizational data security posture.
- Pinpoint and prioritize risks such as misconfigurations, excessive permissions, or unencrypted data storage, providing actionable remediation strategies.
- Monitor data repositories for vulnerabilities and ensure proactive measures to diminish potential attack surfaces across all environments.
- Formulate and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to thwart unauthorized access, exfiltration, or misuse of sensitive information.
- Establish and manage real-time monitoring and controls to detect and prevent sensitive data from exiting secured environments, minimizing false positives.
- Recognize compromised instances, insider threats, or misconfigurations, delivering context-rich insights for swift incident resolution.
- Construct a proactive Data Detection & Response (DDR) strategy to identify and react to data security incidents in real time.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to mitigate risks and ensure operational resilience.
- Ensure alignment of the data security program with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, GLBA) and internal privacy policies.
- Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders to uphold regulatory compliance without hindering business operations.
- Implement controls ensuring sensitive data access is restricted to authorized AI systems, thereby reducing risks associated with AI-driven data proliferation.
- Align data security initiatives with organizational objectives through collaboration and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with leadership, presenting clear, data-driven insights into the organizations security posture and enhancement plans.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the program adapts to shifting risks and technological advancements.
