Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or a similar role
- Preferred professional IT certifications, though not mandatory, such as Microsoft MCSA or MCSE, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, or M365/Azure certifications
- Valid drivers license
- Strong ability to multitask and adapt to changes swiftly
- Exceptional teamwork capabilities and effective communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills, demonstrating active listening and clear communication
- Proficient in diagnosing technical issues and aligning resources effectively
- Commitment to responding promptly to customer inquiries
- Understanding of client business needs and how IT aligns with their strategic objectives
Responsibilities
- Provide remote IT support for issues related to internal systems and network infrastructures
- Offer remote assistance for Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, O365, and Exchange
- Deliver remote support for virtualization solutions using VMware
- Facilitate remote technical support for network-level services, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and switching
- Assist in managing remote disaster recovery solutions
- Support remote access solutions like VPN and Terminal Services
- Occasionally provide onsite support to local customers as required
- Maintain documentation for all computer systems and network infrastructures following internal protocols
- Communicate progress of incidents and inform stakeholders of any changes and scheduled outages
- Stay informed about key IT services, support tools, and techniques utilized in our organization
- Monitor and manage client networks effectively
- Escalate unresolved service or project issues that exceed agreed service levels
- Document internal processes and responsibilities related to the role
- Collaborate with the Support Desk Service Manager to ensure efficient routing of requests
- Act as T-3 Service Desk escalation support
- Log time and expenses, manage daily schedules, and enter work as service or project tickets into systems
- Provide on-call support as part of our on-call rotation
- Represent our company positively to clients and the community
- Mentor and assist junior engineers as necessary
- Perform any additional duties assigned as needed
