Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a QA Lead or Senior QA with leadership responsibilities
- Strong background in Manual Testing including functional, regression, system, and UAT
- Hands-on experience using Selenium for automation testing
- Familiarity with Cucumber and BDD frameworks
- Proficient SQL skills for backend and data validation
- Previous experience in the Banking or Wealth Management sector (highly preferred)
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect life cycle, and QA methodologies
- Experience in Agile/Scrum project environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
Nice to Have:
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing
- Knowledge in performance or security testing
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and ALM
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the QA team in testing activities
- Develop and implement testing strategies and plans
- Design and execute test cases for manual and automated testing
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle
- Conduct test reviews and provide feedback on software quality
- Analyze testing results, document defects, and follow up on defect resolution
- Facilitate discussions during retrospectives and contribute to process improvements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing trends and technologies
Description
We are a dynamic organization offering a remote work environment across Canada, with an option for on-site work in the Toronto area. This role is set for a duration of 6-12+ months, offering a competitive market rate pay. We welcome Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and valid Work Permit holders. The interview process will include 1 to 2 virtual rounds, followed by an in-person interview for candidates in or nearby Toronto.
