Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in installation, upgrading, and patching various Oracle components such as RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, and partitioning
- Proven experience with replication, including setup, troubleshooting, and failovers (Goldengate or HVR)
- Ability to monitor all systems, including work processes, users, system logs, and disk space
- Maintains production uptime service levels while adhering to backup, recovery, performance tuning, and security requirements
- Provides data cleansing, assures data integrity, and implements access controls
- Executes routine maintenance including problem analysis, storage management, and physical database layout
- Demonstrated experience in schema creation, deployment, and maintenance
- Knowledge of setting up and configuring auditing and audit trails
- Capable of recovering databases during events like log full or system crashes
- Familiar with disaster recovery setup and maintenance
- Proficient in automation using shell scripts, Python, Ansible, etc.
- Skilled in performance analysis and query monitoring for platform-specific tuning
Responsibilities
- Support the application team with guidance and expertise
- Install, tune, implement, and upgrade database management system solutions
- Write and deploy SQL patches accurately and promptly
- Maintain attention to detail and urgency in task execution
- Proactively suggest improvements for system functionality
- Compile, prepare, and present statistical data for internal and external stakeholders
- Write and maintain database programs to handle traffic flow and data storage
- Assist in designing new databases based on organizational requirements
- Continuously monitor databases to ensure optimal functionality
- Write programs and scripts for database operations to enhance performance and address issues
- Troubleshoot performance issues affecting databases and related systems
- Debug existing database scripts and programs for efficiency
- Review database reports regularly to identify and resolve potential problems
