Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- 7-15 years of relevant industry experience, or 5 years with a Masters degree, or 2 years with a PhD
- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and coding guidelines
- Practical experience with microservices architecture and various databases, including Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, and PostgreSQL
- 7-15 years of experience with Java
- Familiarity with Service Mesh, Containers, and Kubernetes technologies preferred
- Hands-on experience in developing cloud-based applications using open-source technologies and frameworks is desirable
- Experience in creating scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Proven ability to evaluate application performance and enhance it through optimal design and coding practices
- Proficient in core data structures and algorithms, with implementation skills in a chosen programming language
- Understanding of and experience with cloud services from AWS or Azure is a plus
- Experience in agile software development methodologies
- Knowledge of C++ and Golang is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications to support business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement microservices
- Optimize application performance and scalability through best practices
- Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment
- Conduct code reviews and unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications as needed
