Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in Spark, UNIX, Python, and Shell Scripting
- Familiarity with GitHub, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
- Strong skills in SQL
- In-depth understanding of UNIX Shell scripting
- Hands-on experience with HDFS, Hive, Impala, and Spark
- Experience in migrating from Hadoop to Snowflake
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues in Hadoop
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain big data solutions using Spark and other related technologies
- Write, test, and manage high-quality code in Python and Shell scripting
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and processing
- Assist in the migration of data and systems from Hadoop to Snowflake
- Address and resolve production issues related to big data environments
Description
We are a dynamic company located in Alpharetta, GA, offering a 6-month contract-to-hire position for a Big Data Engineer. You will have the opportunity to work onsite three days a week as part of a collaborative team.
