Requirements
Must:
- Basic understanding of IT support principles and customer service best practices
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting
- Experience in software troubleshooting across different applications and platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes
- Ability to effectively manage computer hardware components and perform routine maintenance
- Strong communication skills to convey technical issues to non-technical users clearly
- Eagerness to learn new technologies including Help Desk tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and BMC Remedy for incident management
- Active security clearance (Secret)
- Capability to lift 25 LBS
- Compliance with DoD IAT Level 2 requirements
- Possession of a Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), or a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification
- (PREFERRED) Experience with USMC Networks
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective technical support to users experiencing hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist with managing computer tasks, including the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Aid in the administration of computer networks, covering LAN, VPN, firewalls, and other security measures
- Troubleshoot software challenges across operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux to ensure minimal downtime
- Oversee computer hardware inventory and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements
- Utilize IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to log incidents and monitor resolutions
- Collaborate with team members to refine IT support processes and boost overall system performance
