Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience with a focus on Data Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, encompassing ETL, data lakehouse, and data modeling
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
- Strong understanding of algorithms, distributed systems, data structures, and database technologies
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills
- Preferred: Masters or PhD in a relevant technical discipline
- Preferred: Over 2 years of hands-on experience with Hadoop/Apache technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive, Kafka)
- Preferred: More than 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Dataproc, Looker)
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance large-scale data systems for processing and delivery
- Optimize intricate code utilizing advanced algorithm concepts and a comprehensive grasp of data system architectures
- Develop frameworks to simplify the administration and deployment of data platforms
- Craft sophisticated queries and high-volume pipelines to address engineering challenges
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to provide data solutions
- Innovate by prototyping new metrics or data systems and establishing SLAs for data sets
