Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in full-stack application development with a robust portfolio of mobile or web applications developed using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience in mobile app development
- Advanced proficiency in mobile development frameworks
- Solid backend development capabilities
- Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Significant experience in integrating third-party APIs
- Experience in publishing at least 2 mobile applications on the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store
- A portfolio showcasing mobile applications created (including links to App Store/Google Play)
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage project deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience with version control systems
- Knowledge of iOS and Android application development
- Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Comfortable working on-site at our Loxahatchee Groves, FL campus
- Availability for an in-person interview and provision of professional references
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive mobile application for iOS and Android from the ground up
- Design app interfaces utilizing Big Dog Ranch Rescue branding, colors, and logos
- Create and implement all user-facing features and functionalities
- Establish a matching system to connect users with available dogs based on their preferences
- Develop an in-app application process for prospective adopters
- Integrate with the Shelterluv API to retrieve dog profiles, photos, medical histories, and real-time availability
- Incorporate the Blackbaud donation system
- Develop backend APIs and database infrastructure
- Implement robust user authentication, profiles, and security measures
- Create a push notification system
- Build features for photo galleries and video playback
- Submit and oversee app management on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Conduct extensive testing across various devices and platforms
- Provide ongoing maintenance and updates post-launch, including bug fixes and new features
- Monitor app performance, user analytics, and feedback
- Offer technical assistance to Big Dog Ranch Rescue staff
- Manage the cloud hosting infrastructure
- Maintain documentation related to codebase updates, API integrations, and system architecture to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
