Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Over 5 years of experience in product management, particularly with physical products
- Proven track record in managing a hardware product lifecycle from inception to production and retirement
- Experience in developing pricing strategies for tangible goods
- Technical understanding of mechanical devices, firmware, IoT communication, and cloud-based applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and creating impactful PowerPoint presentations
- Ability to utilize generative AI tools for efficient research and content generation
- Familiar with hardware design processes and tools like SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Knowledge of PLM systems such as Arena
Responsibilities
- Define the product strategy and vision, articulating the rationale, objectives, and timelines
- Conduct user interviews and examine market trends, including AI, to uncover opportunities
- Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and making critical decisions among competing interests
- Collaborate with design, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to facilitate a seamless product launch
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and user data to assess success and enhance existing functionalities
- Serve as the primary communication liaison for product updates, vision, and value propositions to stakeholders and internal teams
- Author user stories, conduct user testing, and assist in product marketing endeavors for new offerings
- Coordinate with internal teams to establish accurate product pricing to support sales and business objectives
- Stay informed on global market changes affecting roughly 50% of the companys exported products, ensuring compliance with regulatory shifts
