Requirements
Must:
- 4-7 years of experience in Software Development / Engineering
- Bachelors degree
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 60 days of employment
- Eligible for a National Agency Check with Inquiries and/or National Security Clearance; requires US Citizenship
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with secure coding standards and processes, including OWASP and code scanning
- Proficient in developing and maintaining applications on Java, Oracle, or related platforms
- Knowledge of container-based technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Excellent written and verbal communication and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, issue resolution, and facilitation abilities
- Experience with writing complex SQL queries, managing data structures, and related database functions
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing code and software repositories for flaws and errors
- Collaborate with a distributed remote team primarily through online channels
- Conduct code reviews and recommend improvements to current processes and applications
- Engage with architects, analysts, and fellow developers during software design and documentation sessions
- Provide regular and timely updates on the status of systems and projects
- Address challenging design and development issues, troubleshoot bugs, and work closely with the testing team and requirements managers for successful outcomes
- Actively contribute to joint solutions design and advocate for sustained quality in processes
- Review software quality and data accuracy procedures
- Develop, maintain, and support a complex code base for our Department of Defense customer projects
