Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Telecom Engineering, RF Engineering) or equivalent experience (8 years in the field)
- Minimum of four years experience in systems engineering, ideally within the Department of Defense (DOD)
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOD-approved Information Assurance (IA) certifications per DOD 8140 for IA technical roles
- Must pass background checks and complete security awareness training in compliance with DOD Personnel Security Office regulations
- Proficient in system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for enterprise applications
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting technical issues
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred: DOD Secret clearance or higher
- Preferred: Experience with government contractors, radios, and IT systems
- Preferred: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project) and CAD programs
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain RF system components to ensure reliable performance and maximum transmission efficiency
- Provide technical support for electromagnetic networks, diagnosing and resolving system issues to maintain optimal operation
- Implement and uphold security controls following DOD 8570.01-M, NIST SP 800-53, and DODI 8510.01 RMF requirements
- Assist in establishing and maintaining secure communication links, reviewing contractor access as necessary
- Offer additional technical support during fiscal year end surge periods to align with project proposals and Statement of Work (SOW) requirements
- Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other technical documentation
- Prepare technical materials for meetings and document outcomes as directed
- Ensure all technical support aligns with performance benchmarks to maintain system reliability and user satisfaction

Arcticom, LLC, part of the BSNC family, is actively looking for a skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer to enhance our technical operations, maintenance, and optimization for a variety of clients, including DOD agencies. In this role, you will focus on system configuration, troubleshooting, RF optimization, and functional system administration while working closely with our operations manager and clients. We are committed to ensuring our RF networks function effectively, comply with cybersecurity requirements, and meet reporting standards as outlined by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
