Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C++
- 4-7 years of experience in Software Development / Engineering
- Must obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within the first 60 days of employment
- US Citizenship required for National Agency Check with Inquiries and/or National Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a distributed remote team primarily online
- Conduct code reviews and recommend enhancements for existing applications and processes
- Provide regular updates on systems and project status
- Troubleshoot complex design issues and collaborate with the testing team for successful implementations
- Review processes to ensure software quality and data integrity
- Develop and maintain a complex code base for Department of Defense (DoD) projects
- Design and implement software solutions using MIP optimization models, AI, and ML techniques
- Optimize mathematical models for scheduling, routing, allocation, forecasting, and decision-making problems
- Build and deploy machine learning models for practical applications
- Integrate optimization and ML models into production systems and APIs
- Work with product managers, analysts, and other developers to transform requirements into technical solutions
- Enhance model performance, scalability, and reliability through research and adjustments
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code while adhering to best engineering practices
- Monitor and maintain models in live production environments
- Stay informed about emerging tools, frameworks, and research in the areas of optimization, AI, and ML
