IT Specialist - Network and Support

- Act as a systems support specialist for the East Asian and Pacific Affairs (EAP) bureau - Provide general IT and administrative assistance to a team of six supporting EAPs 270 domestic users - Offer help desk support for non-consolidated IT services - Support, troubleshoot, and manage inventory for mobile devices including phones, tablets, and laptops - Provide ad hoc user support for Windows workstations, laptops, tablets, and smartphones - Install and maintain computer hardware such as monitors, printers, and desks - Deliver basic user training on Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and other applications - Assist with digital video conferencing and secure phone technologies - Liaise with the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) for consolidated IT services - Coordinate DT services for EAP domestic offices and personnel at 47 overseas locations - Stay updated on technology trends relevant to EAPs mission - Recommend upgrades and advancements in technology and equipment purchases - Serve as a backup SharePoint Administrator - Assist in setting up and cleaning up conference rooms and official office events - Support annual IT asset inventory and conduct spot checks
