Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years in government cyber security, preferably familiar with RMF
- Eligible for DoD Directive 8140.01s (722)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Proficient in writing a Security Test Plan
- Skilled in gathering and analyzing Security Test Results (STIG checks, scans, manual tests)
- Ability to advocate for appropriate IA design decisions for N-Tier architectures
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and security processes, along with suggesting improvements
- Excellent time management abilities and commitment to deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Expert at summarizing and conveying complex information effectively
- Experience in PERSEC, COMSEC, or program security roles
- Familiarity with: SailPoint IdentityIQ, CyberArk PAS, Radiant Logic, PingIdentity
- Knowledge of Agile Development methodology is preferred
Responsibilities
- Identify development and cyber security initiatives to integrate TLS applications into NIS ICAM
- Collaborate with Department of Navy CIO to establish and maintain NIS for identity federation, management, and access
- Oversee the implementation of security controls within NIS ICAM processes and tools
- Ensure system security measures align with government policies
- Conduct configuration management to evaluate the impact of changes and identify vulnerabilities for each system
- Provide technical guidance on compliance with Federal and DoD Cybersecurity regulations, including RMF, and document implementation in Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM)
- Perform policy reviews and technical inspections to identify and rectify security weaknesses, ensuring security features are operational
- Monitor and address Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to reduce system vulnerabilities on assigned Information Systems
- Research, configure, and utilize software for security vulnerability assessment, monitoring, and alerting
- Identify policy discrepancies and propose mitigation strategies
- Stay informed on upcoming changes and challenges from customers or government requirements and recommend solutions
