Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in system operations, including 3+ years specific to cloud architecture and operations.
- Demonstrable experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their corresponding services (compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and DevOps tools).
- Strong grasp of cloud security, audit logging, and compliance standards.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience in supporting DoD or government systems (if applicable).
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess or be able to secure a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice on the advantages and disadvantages of various cloud service solutions and implementations.
- Engage directly with client executives and technical teams.
- Participate in large-scale projects while leveraging the expertise of team members and stakeholders.
- Evaluate system requirements and suggest continuous improvements, migrations, and enhancements.
- Offer recommendations on cloud service selections (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), addressing architecture patterns, deployment models, security, and cost factors.
- Lead the planning and execution of cloud system support, ensuring operational management and process documentation.
- Ensure accurate configuration, deployment, monitoring, and support for critical cloud systems.
- Establish and maintain practices for audit logging, monitoring, and risk management in cloud environments.
- Facilitate cross-functional project planning, roadmap creation, and tracking of deliverables; provide updates and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Promote Agile methodologies and cultivate a high-performing DevOps/CloudOps team through servant leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders by effectively communicating challenges, solutions, and strategic vision.
- Utilize expertise in support and management of distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Architect and operate solutions within cloud platforms.
