Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED preferred (required in certain states)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Successful completion of criminal background checks, central registry checks, and child abuse registry checks as necessary
- Passing a drug test may be required in certain states
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation necessary
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English
- Approved by state and federal entities to work in BSLS programs
- Familiarity with office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems
- Ability to work emotionally and physically with individuals experiencing mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Strong ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
- Proficiency in various software applications and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Capability to work independently with minimal daily supervision
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory procedures
- Serve as a positive role model for individuals at all times
- Follow person-centered and behavior plans as specified for each individual
- Provide daily opportunities for individuals to meet their personal goals
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment free from harm
- Immediately report any incidents of abuse or neglect to appropriate authorities
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all individuals
- Adhere to all house guidelines and maintain cleanliness standards
- Prepare meals aligned with dietary specifications and documentation
- Understand food supply and storage procedures
- Transport individuals to appointments and assist in securing necessary documentation
- Help individuals manage their funding and budgeting as required
- Complete necessary documentation before the end of each shift, including progress and incident reports
- Assist individuals with their laundry and ensure home cleanliness according to assignment
- Remain accessible in homes that require 24/7 care
- Administer medications as needed and facilitate effective communication during staff handoffs
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections and inquiries
- Perform additional tasks as assigned while upholding core values and mission
