Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED preferred (required in certain states)
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Successful completion of criminal background checks, central registry check, and child abuse registry in applicable states
- Pass drug test in relevant states
- Valid Drivers License with reliable transportation
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Approval by state, federal, and government entities to work within BSLS programs
- Basic office equipment and technology system skills
- Ability to engage physically and emotionally with individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Strong computer skills with various software applications
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Professional demeanor and ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory procedures
- Set positive examples for individuals at all times
- Follow person-centered and behavior plans as outlined for each individual
- Provide opportunities to help individuals achieve their goals, including encouraging participation in activities
- Deliver quality care in a safe environment and uphold individual rights
- Protect individuals from abuse and neglect, reporting incidents immediately
- Maintain confidentiality of all individuals
- Adhere to house guidelines
- Prepare meals according to individuals dietary needs and specifications
- Understand food supply and storage protocols
- Assist with transportation and attend appointments as necessary
- Use individual funds responsibly to assist with budgeting
- Complete documentation including progress notes and incident reports before shift end
- Supervise individuals with laundry tasks as assigned
- Coach individuals on maintaining bedroom cleanliness per guidelines
- Ensure home site is clean and inspection-ready at all times
- Remain awake and accessible in homes requiring 24/7 care
- Administer medications as necessary
- Facilitate communication with incoming shift staff
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections and inquiries
- Undertake additional duties as requested
