Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience utilizing AI tools as the main coding interface (such as LLMs, copilots, or similar systems)
- Strong instinct for software design, regardless of your traditional background (e.g., research, linguistics, data science, physics, operations)
- Ability to rapidly transition from concept to deployment in a matter of hours rather than months
- Comfort in navigating ambiguous problem environments with minimal initial guidance
- Openness to experimentation, quick failures, and iterative progress
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Preferred: Experience with autonomous coding workflows and prior success delivering internal tools or research systems under tight deadlines
- Preferred: Familiarity with government, defense, or applied research settings
- Preferred: Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software primarily through AI-driven tools, progressing from concept to functional systems rapidly
- Convert vague ideas and mission requirements into precise prompts, agent workflows, and system structures that yield high-quality code
- Quickly prototype and launch internal tools that facilitate research, analysis, and mission initiatives within tight timelines
- Exercise strong judgment in software design, discerning good architecture, maintainability, and potential failure points—even with AI-generated code
- Iterate swiftly: create, test, refine, dismiss, and reconstruct without adherence to conventional development practices
- Collaborate with technical teams already employing AI extensively, enhancing the organizations proficiency in agentic and AI-accelerated development methodologies
