Requirements
Must:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support roles.
- Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, along with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is advantageous.
- Experience in supporting remote users and troubleshooting issues through remote desktop tools.
Responsibilities
As the IT Support Specialist, you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users needing assistance, addressing problems via phone, email, or in-person.
- Install, configure, and resolve issues with hardware (desktops, servers, laptops, printers, phones) and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions on platforms like Active Directory, Office 365, and Google Workspace.
- Set up and maintain workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Facilitate the IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Monitor and respond to service desk tickets promptly and professionally.
- Help maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures, including best practices for data security.
- Document processes, solutions, and updates in the IT knowledge base, and provide training or guidance to users on basic technology usage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
