Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field
- At least 1 year of demonstrated experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or in a comparable role
- Preferred 1-5 years of experience in a technical support capacity
- Practical experience working with Windows and Mac OS environments
- Familiarity with computer systems, mobile devices, and various technology products
- Capability to identify and resolve basic technical issues
- Knowledge of remote desktop applications and help desk software
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills
- Proficient in providing step-by-step technical assistance, both in writing and verbally
Responsibilities
- Assist with research and contribute to identifying solutions for hardware and software challenges
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account configuration and network settings
- Engage with customers by asking targeted questions to accurately understand the core of the problem
- Track computer system issues until resolution, adhering to established timeframes
- Guide clients through a series of steps via phone, email, or chat to resolve technical issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior team members when necessary
- Provide timely and precise feedback to customers
- Consult internal databases or external resources to offer correct technical solutions
- Ensure all issues are documented thoroughly
- Manage and prioritize multiple ongoing issues simultaneously
- Follow up with clients to confirm that their IT systems are functioning properly after troubleshooting
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Assist in documenting technical knowledge by creating notes and manuals
