Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree (AA/AS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, network support, or a similar technical role
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain it in a timely manner
- 2 or more years of experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
- 2 or more years of knowledge in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, switches, cabling, VLANs, and Wi-Fi
- 2 or more years of experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting workstations, printers, and network-connected devices
- 2 or more years of competency with standard hardware and software troubleshooting methods
- 2 or more years of experience in adhering to documented procedures and escalating issues as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to our organization
- Capability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel to branch offices and organizational locations as necessary
- Previous experience in a banking or regulated setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to users via ticketing system, phone, email, chat, and face-to-face
- Identify and solve hardware and software problems, including Windows operating system issues, network connectivity issues, and application errors
- Assist users through troubleshooting steps and offer clear explanations of solutions
- Forward complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff or specialized support teams while tracking issues until resolution
- Set up, configure, and deploy new IT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Ensure that workstations comply with organizational functional and security standards
- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory by tracking, labeling, and documenting
- Offer support and troubleshoot mobile devices as well as related applications
- Help with the maintenance of networking devices and ensure stable wired and wireless connectivity
- Properly document all incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the Help Desk ticketing system
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and internal documentation for frequently encountered support issues
- Monitor, service, track, and report on Help Desk technical support calls
- Travel to branch locations as needed for IT equipment installation and maintenance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Description
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist who will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Windows-based systems, user devices, and supporting infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will work closely with our team to provide first-level technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and monitor the overall performance of our IT systems.
