Requirements
Must:
- Three to seven years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or networking role, or equivalent
- Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, network engineering, or similar technical degree/experience
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware components, including communication protocols
- Ability to configure Rockwell/Cisco switches
- Relevant network certifications (CCNA/NP, IMINS) preferred
- Experience in industrial and manufacturing settings
- Familiarity with virtualization hardware/software (Dell, HP, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Basic understanding of project management principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and AutoCAD
- Competency in Cisco CLI (knowledge of other manufacturers CLI is an advantage)
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel for installations, start-ups, and client meetings
- Preferred security certifications/experience (ISA, GICSP, CISSP)
- Familiarity with network tools (GNS3, SolarWinds, Network Manager) is a plus
- Control system knowledge (PLCs, SCADA software) preferred
- Experience in industrial controls network design is a bonus
- Application development or system administration experience preferred
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Implement industrial networks primarily for manufacturing facilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle of site-wide network design, including validation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and modifying existing networks
- Conduct audits, specify, design, develop, test, and implement industrial networks primarily involving Cisco/Stratix hardware
- Create designs that meet and surpass customer expectations
- Produce accurate network diagrams and documentation for planning and procurement
- Generate BOMs to meet project design needs, including network hardware and cabling
- Guide installers and on-site staff on physical network installation
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to achieve project objectives
- Leverage your skills and knowledge daily to enhance relationships with clients and team
