Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years on Palantir Foundry or similar big data platforms; candidates from environments like Snowflake or Databricks are also welcome
- Demonstrated interest in learning and experimenting with new tools, shown through personal projects, certifications, or contributions to open-source
- Proven experience in data modeling, including schema design, performance enhancement, and managing complex datasets in high-stakes industries
- Proficient in Python for scripting and automation and TypeScript for front-end integrations (e.g., React applications), along with working with APIs for data handling
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data quality frameworks, and version control systems like Git
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, thriving in fast-paced and ambiguous settings while effectively communicating technical details to non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive development of tools to support Palantir deployment, encompassing ontology development, data pipeline design, and workflow improvements
- Create, implement, and uphold scalable data models, pipelines, and integrations utilizing Palantir tools like AIP, Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and Ontology Management
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, technology teams, and business stakeholders to convert oil and gas domain requirements into technical solutions, ensuring data quality, security, and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Palantir environment, covering governance, data integration, and egress policies
- Create and automate testing frameworks, environment clean-up, and quality checks to guarantee robust data ecosystems
- Integrate Palantir with external systems through APIs, enhancing connectivity with tools such as SAP, AWS, and Copilot
- Remain informed on industry trends by assessing and incorporating new tools and technologies, including AI-driven analytics and emerging data platforms, to boost operational efficiency
- Conduct workshops and offer training on Palantir best practices to cultivate a culture of data literacy within the organization
