Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, focusing on front-end technologies (React, TypeScript) and back-end services (Java).
- At least 3 years of experience in web application design and architecture, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and developing software for complex systems such as Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications, and Client-server Architectures, along with a solid foundation in computer science and software development.
- Experience working in Agile development environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications include 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate from an accredited course of study related to Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Current Top Secret / SCI Clearance is a plus.
- Familiarity with user interface design principles, cloud technologies, microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices and tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a critical and creative thinking ability.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications for SIGINT products using React and TypeScript.
- Contribute to back-end services primarily developed in Java to ensure effective integration and functionality.
- Collaborate closely with integration and test teams, systems engineers, customer representatives, and program leadership to gather requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
- Utilize best practices in web application design and architecture to create user-friendly and effective applications.
- Address complex problems with innovative solutions, maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Engage in Agile development processes, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in the ongoing improvement of the development process.
- This position requires 100% onsite work at one of the specified locations (Fairfax, VA).
