Requirements
Must:
- I require an Associate’s degree along with 3 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- You should possess knowledge of model risk management and the regulatory expectations pertinent to our industry.
- I also expect you to have 3 years of experience showcasing excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- You will lead the comprehensive management of the model lifecycle for MSOSA models, covering scoping, design, development oversight, testing, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
- It is vital that you define and uphold model governance standards, documentation prerequisites, and approval workflows.
- You will coordinate model validation and independent review activities, ensuring the timely resolution of any findings.
- You must implement and manage processes for model performance monitoring, drift detection, and anomaly response.
- Ensuring model explainability, interpretability, and reproducibility is crucial; you will maintain model lineage and version control.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, DevOps) to ensure models are operationalized reliably and securely.
- It is essential to establish and monitor key model performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs).
- I expect you to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies (e.g., data privacy, fairness, risk management).
- You will facilitate communication with stakeholders and provide regular updates to business owners and leadership.
- Your role will also involve driving continuous improvement of modeling practices, tools, and automation (CI/CD for models, ML Ops), as well as supporting model risk assessments and integrating model controls into enterprise risk frameworks.
Description
You will be expected to work 100% onsite in Hazelwood, MO. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time, domestically or internationally, depending on business needs. An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required (U.S. Citizenship is necessary). Preferred qualifications include having an Associate’s degree and 6 or more years of relevant work experience. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously is desirable. Familiarity with tools for explainability and testing for fairness and bias, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and prior experience in regulated sectors such as aviation, finance, healthcare, or defense will be beneficial.
