Must:
We require candidates to hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Additionally, candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security, and/or cybersecurity. Preferred qualifications include a solid understanding of systems, systems integration, airplane systems, and/or certification processes. Experience in cybersecurity, security network architecture, embedded systems security, security testing and evaluation, network design, cyber-physical systems or PKI infrastructure is desirable. Familiarity with planning and executing penetration tests across various domains such as Windows and Linux Operating Systems, IP-based networks, web applications, and avionics is also an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate experience in hardware and firmware security and have skills in coordinating and presenting technical content effectively to diverse audiences. Holding security certifications, including but not limited to CISSP, Security+, CEH, CCNA, or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), is preferred.
Responsibilities
As a Mid-Level Product Security Engineer at Boeing, my role involves assessing risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of product assets and production systems to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards. I develop and coordinate system security requirements while providing technical data and documentation for both internal referencing and external delivery. I also collaborate with security testers to validate coverage, coordinate with customers and stakeholders regarding detection capabilities, and engage in the development of innovative technical solutions while being aware of the implications of our decisions. My responsibilities extend to supporting the implementation and communication of sustainment programs to guarantee the continued security and resiliency of our digitally-connected, in-service airplane models. Additionally, I ensure configuration management and security over facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources to maintain product security.
