Requirements

Must:
- The ability to obtain a DoD Secret US Security Clearance (Pre-Start), with the US Government necessitating US Citizenship; ability to acquire TS/SCI clearance post-start. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle, which includes Requirements Analysis, Design, Coding, Integration, and Testing. - At least 5 years of experience leading software teams and/or projects. - A minimum of 5 years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps) and/or Development Security Operations (DevSecOps). - A minimum of 5 years of experience with test automation. - Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD), using appropriate code versioning, build, and test automation tools.

Responsibilities

- I will lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of standardized, efficient, and innovative DevSecOps processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and facilitate continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of mission-critical software. - I will oversee automation, development, monitoring, enhancement, and troubleshooting across software development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security measures. - I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software development pipelines. - I will lead the implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations within the software engineering DevSecOps environment. - I will conduct installation and configuration of an integrated software engineering environment based on the DevSecOps framework. - I will design and develop automation processes and assist in software build and release activities. - I will provide technical support for the program and help meet Application Security, IT, and customer security directives and requirements. - I will manage software dependencies including assessment, acquisition & licensing, integration, and maintenance for software utilized by developers throughout the program. - I will assist software teams and IT with server upgrades/patches, database support, and setup of virtual environments. - I will support operating system, infrastructure, and platform hardening to ensure systems are safeguarded against cybersecurity threats. - I will advise software engineering management and program leadership on software process adherence and implementation strategies to ensure engineering excellence and program success. - I will lead DevSecOps training to inform software teammates about the usage and implementation of DevSecOps tools and principles.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at our facility in El Segundo, CA. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, along with experience in the satellite software domain. Familiarity with the GitLab ecosystem and Agile software development practices, as well as experience in software containerization, build automation, and leading projects through the software development lifecycle, is highly desirable. We maintain a Drug-Free Workplace and conduct drug testing for substances when criteria outlined in our policies are met. To be considered for this role, candidates will need to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection procedure. Pay will be aligned with candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations, with a summary pay range from $130,900 to $177,100.
