Requirements

Must:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering. - At least 2 years of experience in software development using languages such as Java, C++, or Python. - A minimum of 1 year of experience related to RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification. - Preferred: A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. - Preferred: 5 or more years of relevant work experience or a suitable combination of education and experience. - Familiarity with compliance regulations at the company, state, federal, and international levels related to import/export, intellectual property, ISO, FAA, JAA, ICAO, and ITAR.

- I design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that adhere to industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, and certification standards. - I collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define systems and translate system-level requirements into software specifications that satisfy customer and operational needs, ensuring clear traceability to design, code, and test artifacts. - I oversee the preparation and submission of comprehensive technical documentation required for FAA certification, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness. - I also conduct software system-level analyses to identify potential risks, issues, and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies throughout the software development lifecycle. - I perform code reviews to guarantee compliance with requirements and standards. - I monitor test completion, verification processes, and issue resolutions for software systems. - User documentation and training are also part of my responsibilities, as I educate end users on how to utilize the software products. - I review products and processes for alignment with project plans and industry standards while monitoring both internal team and supplier performance. - Additionally, I implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes applicable to software development. - I engage in software project management and manage software suppliers.
