Requirements
Must:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline (preferably with a focus on finance, economics, or operations research)
- At least 3 years of experience in data science or machine learning; capital markets experience is highly advantageous
- Expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, and machine learning frameworks
- Proficient in programming (Python preferred) and familiar with cloud technologies
- Knowledge of financial tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Thomson Reuters is a bonus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to develop hypotheses and derive insights from data
- Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative, flexible, and detail-oriented with a results-driven approach
Responsibilities
- Create and implement advanced analytics and machine learning models utilizing techniques like Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning
- Develop predictive algorithms for trading across various asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, and Foreign Exchange
- Work alongside trading desks, investment banking teams, and corporate banking partners to uncover opportunities and enhance strategies
- Investigate new machine learning methodologies, including time series analysis, to boost trading effectiveness and profitability
- Design and uphold reproducible machine learning workflows for production settings
- Examine large datasets to extract actionable insights and facilitate strategic decision-making
- Convey complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and present findings to upper management
- Effectively visualize intricate data for business use
