Responsibilities
- Drive the software development lifecycle by collaborating with functional teams to convert requirements into features
- Create and implement new software programs, documenting the entire software development process
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting system and core software components
- Ensure that code and configurations comply with security, logging, error handling, and performance standards
- Assess new technologies for compatibility with the program/system/eco-system and evaluate their impacts
- Adhere to release management processes and standards, applying version controls as needed
- Assist in interpreting and documenting client requirements
- Focus primarily on business/group applications within BMO while having a broader enterprise perspective
- Utilize sound judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within set parameters
- Work independently on complex tasks and unique situations as required
- Take on broader responsibilities or accountabilities as necessary
